Rare - WWII magazine - OUTFIT - News Of Your Old Unit - Vol. 1, No. 27 "Victory Road" (28 May, 1945). Measure approx 8" x 11", with stapled binding, interior glossy pages with black and white photos. Published weekly by members of the US Army and distributed by the Army Information Branch without charge to hospitalized US Army personnel and was not obtainable through subscription.
Issues of this magazine contain many, many short articles about the doings of specific divisions and the guys in them, naming many soldiers, where they were from, and what they were up to. Black and white photos are not the usual as they name specific G.I.'s and where they are from.
Sections of the magazine are: Alaska, Caribbean, China, ETO, India-Burma, Mediterranean, Middle East, Pacific, Persian Gulf. It also has a section called Sound Off (letters to the editor) and Over Here, Over There. The Battle Biographies on the back cover is about the 4th Armored Division. The pages are clean with the usual wear for a magazine. There are some creases on the front cover.
