Honey is an instant energy-building food, containing vitamins, proteins, lipids, glucides, enzymes, mineral substances, amino acids, antibacterial and antibiotic components. Raw honey has cell regeneration properties, boosts the immune system and is a wonderful digestive system aid. Medical professionals use raw, unfiltered, local honey to treat allergies.
A honey jar can be heated in a small pot of water, or the entire jar may be frozen before the creamy phase develops. Don't chill or refrigerate honey. Store it in a sealed container at room temperature.
Beeswax candles burn cleaner and more slowly than traditional or soy candles. Beeswax candles help purify the air by producing negative ions. Positive ions hold on to airborne things like dust, mold and odors; negative ions are drawn to the "contaminated" positive ions, weigh them down and they will fall to the floor, thereby leaving a cleaner, purer air. A perfect example of this phenomenon is rainstorms. A rainstorm is a negative ionic event, which is why we say the air smells so fresh after a rainstorm. Beeswax is also non-toxic and hypo-allergenic, with a mild fragrance.
