I buy firewood every year I'm in Northeastern Connecticut.
Every year it's like a crapshoot you don't know what you're going to get the people advertise online the firewood that supposedly is pictures of what they're selling and I've had many a times the experience when they show up it smells wet and if you burn firewood you know what wood that has just been split smells like.
So yeah people at advertise seasoned the trees might have been dropped in May but it's not split so it's still wet in the fall when it is finally split and delivered.
I went on Facebook and inquired with several different people ever advertising I told him the size of my wood stove that I can fit in and what I was looking for.
More importantly what I'm not looking for
I don't want muddy I don't want punky that's your cork wood, I don't want termite infested rotted garbage. I don't want twigs I don't want rounds like little tree limbs that they Chuck in they go oh it's kindling it's garbage is what it is.
The person assured me, look I burn what I sell I was raised the right way and you're going to be happy with what I deliver.
He shows up in a stake body it's stacked in not thrown in and if you understand the difference it's about 15% air gaps when you throw wood into a truck versus stack it so even though the truck May hold a cord when it's thrown in you're not getting a cord because random placement logs thrown in take up more space.
This person set an appointment with me on Monday for 10:00 a.m. today. At 8:30 he confirmed we're loading the truck now we will be on time. He showed up on time everything was unloaded it was stacked (I paid extra)
I know what my racks will hold and there was quite a bit extra probably an eighth of a quarter so overage beyond a full cord.
It restores my faith in mankind when people actually deliver what they say and go above and beyond.
So if you need firewood they're out of Danielson Connecticut the guy's name is Dave his partner is Scott his cell phone is show contact info
And I am extremely satisfied I wanted to put this out there because I know there's a lot of people that sell firewood and they don't do what they say they're going to do they don't bring you what they say not the quality not the amount and it certainly isn't seasoned.
