Red label Yamaha Fg180 as used by Elliot smith

The guitar is in fairly good shape for its age and one of the nicer red labels I've owned. It has however had a refinish on the neck, so it is missing the Yamaha label on the headstock. These early yamahas are known for their incredible build quality. They were made in Japan. The red label yamahas were made 1968-1972, this one being a 72. Late 1972 models did not have the "Nippon Gakki" script on the bottom of the label. Fg180 was the second nicest factory guitar Yamaha produced at the time, below the fg300.
I recently installed vintage Grover tuners because the original tuners were broken. The grovers feel great, match the patina of the guitar and hold tune well.
Neck angle is good, top is flat and strong, bridge saddle has plenty of meat left. These guitars often need a neck reset but this one is good to go and has plenty of life left.
Asking 225$ or possible trade for telecaster, 335, SG, les paul, lawsuit guitars, etc.
