Very nice, clean example of a later 1940's 16" wide x 12" deep blue/silver field drum. Clean inside and out. Drum heads are good. Only flaws are some scattered flakes of missing paint. No cracks on the nickel lugs. Would also make a very nice floor tom in a vintage Slingerland kit. The shell is round, original tapered bearing edges are in very good shape. It's a very clean drum just as one of these from the 1940's should be.
You won't find one nicer in the New England region near my asking price. The metal parts on the drum are worth approx $350, and the shell another $50. If you want to pay for shipping, I can list the drum on Reverb and sell it to you that way. I'd rather see someone local get this drum and save on shipping/fees. I played the drum as both a marching snare and a kit floor tom. It was fine either way.
