1982 "T" badge - Tama Swingstar chrome over steel snare drum. Good condition for over 36 yrs old. The shell and chrome are all in very good shape. Attractive drum with excellent reflectivity in the chrome. Minor blemishes only.
The Remo coated CS reverse dot as a batter is fairly new. The Remo bottom head is fine as is. The snare mechanism works properly to tighten, loosen, and cleanly throw on/off. 2 of the 20 snare wires are missing....makes no noticeable difference in the sound. The drum is nice sounding with a crisp snare buzz. Quite sensitive when playing lightly. Does fine too when playing hard. Because it's a small, light, and brighter sounding snare, I am using the Remo reverse white dot head. Does a nice job of mellowing out the brightness and overtones so common to metal snares. It now sounds "bigger" of fatter than it normally would. Perfect for a back up or practice studio snare.
