This rather roadworn rig features a vintage 1970's Music Man HD-130 Reverb Head paired with a rare and desirable early 70's Traynor YGC412 Cab.
The Music Man HD-130 Reverb 130-watt tube amplifier is a classic two channel amp switchable to half-power (65 watts), with master volume, reverb, tremolo, and tone controls. Believed to be Leo Fender's flagship amp, this hybrid design incorporates a solid-state preamp with a tube power section. This one has 4 very strong matched JJ EL34's and an early-version 12AX7 phase inverter.
Original footswitch included.
Immensely powerful and versatile, this amp has been used by artists such as Eric Clapton, Bob Weir, Mark Knopfler, and Joan Jett.
The Traynor YGC412 cab was manufactured by Yorkville Sound in Canada in the late sixties and early seventies. Featuring four 12-inch (Eminence?) speakers, it's wired for 8 ohms. This highly sought after vintage plywood cab sounds amazing both on the stage and in the studio and is renown for its clarity, punch, and depth.
Together, these two classic pieces make a great combination.
This working half stack definitely shows signs of wear consistent with use and age and is priced accordingly.
